Kentucky Science & Engineering Fair

In order to compete in the Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair (KY-SEF), Kentucky students must be enrolled in grades 5 through 12 and under age 20 on April 1 of the year of the fair.  Eligible students can be enrolled in a public, private or parochial school or be home schooled. They must have won a 1st or 2nd place category award from a Kentucky regional fair that is affiliated with Regeneron ISEF. Five at-large projects will be allocated to each affiliated fair for designation as competitive entries for KY-SEF. Each regional fair determines the criteria by which the at-large participants are selected. All projects must meet Regeneron and safety guidelines.

All students that participate at KY-SEF must be attending a school or home school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
