Friday, March 22, 2024

5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Optional early check-in and setup of projects at the Student Recreation Center. (Review of projects by Safety and Review Committee.  If you set up and leave Friday evening before the SRC has approved your display, be sure to check your form in the morning for signed approval or notes of changes to be made.  If your form was not signed Friday night, DO NOT leave your project Saturday morning until your display has been approved and your form signed.)

9:00 p.m.
Student Recreation Center closes.

Saturday, March 23, 2024

6:30 – 8:00 a.m. (NOTE NEW OPENING TIME)

Check-in and setup of projects continues. All projects must be in place by 8:00 a.m.
Where: Student Recreation Center

7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
Review of projects by Safety and Review Committee. All projects must have a signed Safety and Display Approval Form. Table project number must match Form project number.  DO NOT leave your display until your Safety and Display Approval Form has been signed by an SRC member.

7:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast for judges
Where: MAC Court, Student Recreation Center

8:45 – 9:15 a.m.
Orientation for judges
Where: MAC Court, Student Recreation Center

9:15 – 9:45 a.m.
Judges review projects without students present.  All students and persons not affiliated with the state fair must leave the display floor.
Where: Student Recreation Center

9:45 a.m.
Welcoming remarks

9:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Project category judging (Students must remain with projects)
Where: Student Recreation Center

11:30 a.m.  – 1:00 p.m.
Lunch for students (Lunch delivered to project site. Students must remain with projects. Lunch selection–Beef, Turkey, Vegetarian, Vegan– must be made when registering on-line. Students who do not complete the lunch request on-line will be provided a Vegetarian lunch.)


Lunch will be available for judges in restricted judges’ area in the MAC Courts, Student Recreation Center (judges and fair personnel ONLY permitted in MAC Courts).

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Project judging for Best of Fair. (Students must remain with projects unless they have been released by a Fair Official.)
